Marketplace Properties

Marketplace Properties was founded in 1985 by Michael Rue and is based in Tustin, California. It has developed 24 successful neighborhood shopping center projects in California and Arizona.

Primarily the projects are anchored by a supermarket and or drugstore such as Albertson’s, Henry’s Farmers Market, Ralphs and/or CVS, Walgreens or Rite Aid. They have also worked with some of the premier ethnic supermarket and retail chains such as Gigante, El Tapatio Markets, Saigon City Marketplace and Famsa.

Marketplace’s primary focus is commercial retail and has experience in mixed-use development. Of the projects it has developed, one-half are the rehabilitation or remodel of existing commercial properties and the other one-half are new construction projects.

Marketplace has been awarded numerous times by various municipalities in recognition for design excellence as well as retail development projects of the year. They take special pride in their work and strive to leave every project taken on far better than it was found.

Since its inception, Marketplace has developed over 1,500,000 square feet of leasable building area at a value of about $250,000,000.
